ABOUT US
Lansafe AI Studio: Lansafe’s newest offering.
Twenty years of looking after customers’ technology, now turned to AI. We apply it to the problems customers actually face, and build capability they can keep and run for themselves.
A SHARED DIRECTION
The next iteration of AI starts with the customer.
Lansafe AI Studio brings together Dave Hayward’s experience of practical problem-solving, Lee Roby’s leadership and Lansafe’s customer-centric approach. The ambition is to apply AI to the problems customers actually face, not find somewhere to sell the latest technology.
We see the next step as moving beyond impressive answers on a screen to useful capability inside a business. People bring the ideas, the knowledge and the judgement. AI helps put them to work.
That fits Lansafe’s approach: understand the customer, choose the right tools and remain accountable for the work. A focused demonstration is a way to explore an idea; the business value still has to be tested.
Lansafe: the relationship comes first.
Lansafe is a UK managed service provider founded in 2005 by Managing Director Lee Roby. It brings IT, telecoms, fire and security, electrical and cyber security together under one roof — “One Company, One Solution” — giving businesses a single, accountable technology partner.
Honesty, integrity and going the extra mile sit behind its focus on long-term customer relationships. The AI Studio is an extension of that thinking: understand what would genuinely help, explain the choices and build something worth keeping.

Dave Hayward
Making the technical and the practical meet in the middle.
Dave has worked across civil engineering, network engineering and sound engineering — and for the last 25 years has held senior IT and engineering positions in a manufacturing business. Not advising from the sidelines: he has been the person accountable for the systems the company runs on, day in, day out.
Twenty-five years in senior roles means the decisions were his: laser-cutting lines, nitrogen generators, ERP roll-outs and cloud migrations — investments that had to pay for themselves in the real world. Different tools, one question: does this actually solve the problem?
There is no magic bullet. Progress comes from people who understand the work and use the best tools available, rather than sticking to “we have always done it like that”. Dave sees AI as a way to give those people more room to act on what they know — while recognising when someone else’s expertise is needed.

CUSTOMER FOCUS
Lee Roby
Founder & Managing Director, Lansafe.
Lee founded Lansafe in 2005. The company’s values — honesty, integrity and going the extra mile — reflect his approach to building lasting customer relationships.
That customer focus is the starting point for the AI Studio’s direction. New software should fit the business it serves, not ask the business to organise itself around a fashionable product.
Alongside Dave’s practical experience, Lee’s leadership and Lansafe’s wider technology expertise give the ambition a business context: a customer with a real need, a useful outcome to aim for and a relationship that continues beyond the demonstration.
Different expertise. The same test.
Will this leave the customer with a better business? If we cannot explain the value, the technology has not earned its place.
Build value. Don’t embed dependency.
We want customers to stay because the work is useful and the support is good — not because leaving has been made difficult. The customer’s idea stays theirs. Their data, written rules and application are designed to move, with ownership, third-party licences and hosting needs made clear in the agreed scope.
The same principle applies to AI. It should help create capability, not become an unavoidable charge for repeating work that tested software can already do. Support, maintenance and any necessary AI use still have costs; the aim is to make those costs understandable and justified.
This is the direction we intend to build towards with Lansafe’s customers, not a claim that every benefit has already been proved. The work starts small, is tested with the people who use it and earns further investment through evidence.
The customer brings expertise of their own; the work starts by listening to it.
Start with what needs to work better.
Bring the problem, the idea or the process that keeps getting in the way. The technology comes after we understand it.
