The business problem
Kitchen checks are recorded on paper during a busy service. Temperature readings, delivery checks and allergen notes sit in different folders, so a manager must search for anything that needs follow-up.
Why it matters. A missing check or unusual reading is difficult to distinguish from a task that has already been done. Handovers depend on memory, and allergen information still requires careful human confirmation.
A better starting point. A daily check board makes due work and exceptions visible, with a separate manager sign-off stage. It supports record keeping; it does not make food safety or allergen decisions.
Example-picker brief used to shape this hand-built showcase.
“We're a hospitality business of 11–50 people, doing a café. Our biggest headache is tracking allergens and food checks. At the moment it's handled with spreadsheets, emails and memory, so things get missed and time is wasted. We'd like a simple way to see what needs attention and keep everyone on the same page.”

Behind the concept
Check schedules and limits are fixed rules; records are kept consistently.
Not used for safety decisions. A person always confirms checks and allergen information.
Illustrative concept, not production software. Changes last only while this page is open. People confirm unusual cases; real processes, access, security and backups need validation before launch.
